Production Shift Lead 
Capsule Machine  
Summary: 
The Production Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing capsule machine operations during the  assigned shift while leading Capsule Machine Operators. This role ensures machines operate  efficiently, production targets are met, and quality and safety standards are maintained. The  Shift Lead communicates operational issues to management and supports continuous  improvement of production processes. 
Key Responsibilities 
• Lead and manage 4 Capsule Machine Operators during the assigned shift. 
• Maintain capsule machines at optimal speed to meet production requirements and  quality standards. 
• Provide relevant information regarding machine breakdowns, operator concerns, or raw  material issues to the Capsule Production Supervisor, Engineering, and company  leadership. 
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. • Prepare tooling for machine changeovers and perform changeovers when required. • Ensure raw materials are checked for quality and quantity prior to use. • Maintain accurate machine performance and production output logs. 
• Perform testing procedures to ensure machines are operating properly throughout  production. 
• Enter and adjust machine settings such as size, speed, and production parameters at the  control station. 
• Ensure preventative maintenance procedures and safety checks are completed for all  machines. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 
• Ensure necessary materials are available and prepared for continuous production. • Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately.
Production Shift Lead – Capsule Machine  
• Follow established procedures while identifying opportunities to improve processes and  efficiency. 
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management. 
Required Skills 
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). 
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills. 
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine functionality. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify production issues. 
• Ability to maintain production quality and quantity with a high level of accountability. 
Qualifications 
• Ability to work with computer systems, including machine control stations. • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. 
• Ability to lead and support team members effectively. 
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain standing for extended periods. 
Education and Experience 
• High school diploma or equivalent required. 
• Prior manufacturing/machine operation experience preferred. 
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
