Overview
Our client in Edison, NJ is looking for Lumpers, where your energy and expertise will drive efficient distribution operations! In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth handling, loading, and unloading of goods within our busy warehouse environment. Your mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and ability to operate heavy equipment will be key to maintaining seamless shipping and receiving processes. Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trucks using equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes, ensuring proper handling of all materials.
• Perform order picking with RF scanners to accurately select items for shipment or inventory replenishment.
• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting cargo, and documenting movements.
• Manage materials handling activities efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
• Support warehouse management system (WMS) operations by updating inventory records and tracking order progress.
• Collaborate with team members to load, unload, and organize stock for optimal warehouse flow.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar logistics environments.
• Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and tools.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to use RF scanners for accurate order picking and inventory management.
• Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes within a construction or industrial setting is preferred.
• Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and repetitive tasks; ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
