Our Client in Swedesboro NJ is looking for a Band Saw Operator. The job is responsible for the precise cutting of meats to specified dimensions using various knives and saw machines. This position requires the ability to read job orders to determine the correct settings and measurements for each task. The operator’s work forms a crucial first step in the production process, preparing meats for furthering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working in a repetitive and fast paced environment to complete various processes including weighing, bagging, packing and unpacking, labeling and boxing of meat products.
- General use of knife or other tools/machinery to process meat, including but not limited to trimming and removing fat, defects or contamination from muscle or tissue
- Monitoring and programming machinery to ensure process efficiency
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior experience operating food processing equipment
- Prior experience using a Band Saw and knife in a meat production or equivalent environment
- Prior meat processing experience
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in a wet and/or humid cool environment, as well as slippery surfaces
- Ability to read English
- Must be 18 years old
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
Full time position Monday -Friday 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Pay Range: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
